These days, I am so busy to study. As you know, I am a student, and I would enroll high school next year. My cousin has gone to US. There will be the place where he and his cousin would live in. I might study in US too, because my father and my cousin's parent are very very friendly. My father told me to study hard to enroll the University of Texas. I wish I would, and I will study hard to accomplish it. If I will go there, it might be great chance to me.
How's your summer going? I love summer (because I don't like winter), so I'm doing good. I have a break from teaching and I have the time to read some good books, see movies, go to a beautiful lake near my house and run, and have fun with friends.
Last week, we went to a Korean sauna in New York City. It was just like being in Korea again. The sauna was so big and very advanced in its technology. Most of the people there were Koreans, but there were also a lot of "non" Koreans. Some of the Korean employees had never been to Korea, and I told them about saunas in Korea and about my teaching job in Incheon.
Have you seen the new Batman movie? It's quite good.
Well, that's all for now. I hope you are okay. I love the picture you put on the web site. I like that kind of anime art.
It is so nice that I could hear from you. It has been more than 1 month to hear from you. Do you mean you might be a teacher of Princeton University? It will be fantastic for you to work at one of the best universities in the world. And, it is great that you would have a world travle. Will you take a lot of picture of England and Germany? Please let me get your nice pictures of England and Germany.
These days, I am having somehow nice days. I went bowling with my friends a few days ago, and I will play badminton tomorrow. Also, I might get Viewty in some weeks. My grandmother promised me to buy one for me.
Tomorrow, I have a test which is something important to me, because it can measure my English skills. I have been in tough time for several months to improve my mathmatical skills and English skills. I think have improved my English skills a lot.
Sorry I haven't written in a long time, but I've been very tired from a difficult schedule of work, study and driving to and from my job. Even on the weekends, I am so busy with errands, tasks, and things I must do to keep my life going.
But now summer -- beautiful, wonderful summer -- is at last in view. I get some time off and I am making some new plans. First of all, I get a break in June from regular school. So for ten days I will have time to read books, lay by the swimming pool, and just walk in the woods near my house. I also plan to go to New York City during that time to see an exhibit on Japanese photography and go to an authentic Korean sauna. Then I will teach summer school in July. And then in August, I will spend a week traveling around England. After that, I will spend a week traveling around Germany.
And then sometime in early 2009, the big news is that I might be moving to Princeton, New Jersey (where Princeton University is located). This is just a plan right now, so it might change. But it is what I want to do and if I can make it happen, I think I will like living there a lot.
I hope you are studying hard, but also that you have good friends and have time to have fun and play games and enjoy being a teenager.
It has been about 1 month since I communicated with you lately. I have done well on my exames, but I assume that I can get Viewty phone, because I had many good competitors who are very intelligent. In Korea, there are many competitions in many schools. Maybe in USA, there will not so many competitions like Korea. Korean students don't want to see their friend's good grades, so they study very hard, and so do I.
I don't like to study. No, EVERY student doesn't like to study, and they want to play. However, they won't get a good job if they don't study hard, and IF they don't study hard, they would not get into one the finest school in Korea, which can make them to get a good job.
I do not have enough time to write a long post, so I'll just write few sentences. I found one of my favourite track, and I want to let you to listen it.
Truth and hope in our Fatherland!
And death to every foe!
Our soldiers shall not pause to rest
We vow our loyalty
Old traditions they will abide
Arise young heroes!
Our past inspires noble deeds
All Hail Britannia!
Immortal beacon shows the way
Step forth, seek glory!
Hoist your swords high into the clouds
Hail Britannia!
Oue Emperor stands astride this world
He'll vanquish every foe!
His truth and justice shine so bright
All hail his brilliant light!
Never will he be overthrown
Like mountains and sea
His bloodline immortal and pure All Hail Britannia!
Hello. I am happy you like Viewty phone. I have heard about an Apple i-phone. If I have a chance to choose one either Viewty or Apple, I'd choose an Apple, because I think it is better. All phones have many merits, and many demerits. I think you've made a fantastic choice.
I have seen Grand Canyon in the picture. I felt touching when I have read the sentence that you will visit your parents. I remember your tall height and browny hair at SLP. You'd remember me as a naughty boy, wouldn't you? Time really flies... I have become a formal student, who intend to be a model student.
I'm enjoying my black tea and classics. I recommend you to drink black tea, because it helps you to have a fresh day. I enjoy "Twinings English Breakfast Tea". I usually drink this tea before I go school. And, I usually listen to Elly Nay's piano sonata.
Have a nice vacation with your parents, and your friends!
That's a hot phone! Right now, I have a Motorola "Razor" phone. It's very nice, but next fall I plan to get an Apple i-Phone. Have you seen those?
Yesterday was a beautiful day. We spent it by a river and ate at a very old restaurant which once served food to President George Washington, America's first President.
Today I am leaving on a short Spring Vacation. I am visiting my parents who live in Arizona, and after staying with them for a couple of days, I will join my friend for a three days in the Grand Canyon. Have you ever seen or heard of the Grand Canyon? It is one of the most beautiful places in the world.
Winter is leaving Korea, and the spring is arriving. I feel a sense of responsibility on my test score, because I have to be one of the best students in my school. I always study hard, but my friends are study hard too. I know people like Adolf Hitler failed to be a wise dictator, but I believe that totalitarianism would be great if it combines with democracy.
I didn't want to make a conflict with you about the political ideas. How are you doing these days? Are you still busy on school works? I wrote this little late, and I hope you are not mad at it. I am studying much harder these days, because the exam is in front of my nose (korean proverb, which means that the time has come). If I get a high score on this exam, my parent promised that they will buy me a goood mobile phone, which is called 'Viewty Phone'
I have clipped viewty phone ad. I think you would have an interest on it. :-D
The new skin is quite nice. I actually saw it about 7 days ago and wanted to write you but I got the Flu and each day I thought, "Maybe tomorrow I'll feel better and so I wait until then to write." Well, tomorrow has finally arrived and I do feel better.
I'm sorry about Korea's loss of the South Gate to fire. I have some lovely pictures of it. Also in the news, is the visit to North and South Korea of the New York Philharmonic Orchestra. I have been to their performances several times and think they are terrific. Did you get a chance to go when they were in Seoul?
I'm sorry, but I don't agree at all with you on totalitarianism. It has caused millions of people to die and enslaved tens of millions more. A "wise" dictator who will do the right things quickly and efficiently is always the dream of totalitarianism, but greed and corruption always prevent that from happening. Only democracy, with all its frustrating slowness and imperfections, can ensure peace and prosperity for individuals and the world.
